Data Center EPZ of FPT Telecom – The First Data Center to Achieve Tier III Uptime Certification in Vietnam

Recently, Data Center EPZ in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone (HCMC) of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) has become the first Data Center in Vietnam to achieve the international Uptime Tier III certification by Uptime Institute, USA. With the Uptime Tier III certification for Data Center EPZ of FPT Telecom, Vietnam has become the third country in Southeast Asia to possess this prestigious certification, following Malaysia and Indonesia.

Uptime Tier is the world’s most prestigious evaluation standard system, including low to high levels (Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, Tier IV). To date, the certification has been granted to Data Centers in 44 countries around the world, including Data Centers of many big names such as: Samsung (Korea), Hyundai (Korea), TelecityGroup UK Limited (UK), Verizon Wireless (USA) and T-Systems (Brazil)…

To achieve Tier Uptime III certification, FPT Telecom’s Data Center EPZ has undergone rigorous assessments for nearly a year on Infrastructure design, Operational procedures, Design procedures, and Troubleshooting… Specifically, Data Center EPZ ensures backup for electrical systems, air conditioning, cables, UPS… Daily maintenance, repair, and technical support activities are also built by FPT Telecom based on strict regulations, ensuring the system operates stably and safely 24/7.

Data Center EPZ in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone (HCMC) was established by FPT Telecom in 2009, with a scale of 800 network cabinets (racks) and the ability to expand at least double the capacity, designed and operated according to Uptime Tier III and TIA – 942 standards. In addition, Data Center EPZ also uses energy-saving technologies according to Japanese technology to improve system efficiency and reduce operating costs.
