Hanoi, December 20, 2024 – FPT Telecom & IIJ Global Solutions Vietnam announced the launch of the HI GIO Kubernetes solution – A managed Kubernetes service based on the open-source system is run on the HI GIO Cloud infrastructure (VMware-based technology).

HI GIO Kubernetes allows software developers to concentrate on application development and operation in the cloud. Its automation capabilities simplify managing software deployment and containerized applications.
The Capabilities
1. Managing Multi-cluster
View and manage multiple Kubernetes clusters. Users can scale, update, and delete clusters directly from the HI GIO Portal.
2. Integrating UI with HI GIO Portal
Users can manage their Kubernetes environments alongside other cloud resources within the same portal easily & quickly.
3. Using HI GIO Load Balancing
Implement load balancing to ensure optimal distribution of traffic across pods and services, enhancing the availability and performance of applications.
4. Monitoring and Management
Kubernetes Control Plane is fully managed on HI GIO Portal. The integration provides enhanced monitoring capabilities, allowing users to track the performance and health of their Kubernetes clusters in real time.
5. Integrating Tanzu Repository Packages
Support Tanzu Repository Packages Integration, allowing users to easily create & manage workload clusters and deploy applications and services from VMware’s Tanzu catalog.
6. Auto-scaling & Auto-healing cluster
Automatically scale Kubernetes clusters based on predefined metrics and policies. Monitor the health of a cluster and automatically repair or replace unhealthy components or nodes.
7. Integrating CNI & CSI
Support Container Network Interface (CNI) Integration to enable seamless communication and connectivity between containers and external networks and Container Storage Interface (CSI) Integration to expose more storage options & make the system more secure & reliable.

Before launching HI GIO Kubernetes in 2024, the IIJ GS VN and FPT Telecom teams implemented solutions to help customers store and protect their data. This included the launch of HI GIO S3 Storage on December 16, 2024, and HI GIO Microsoft 365 Backup as a Service (BaaS) on September 25, 2024.
With offerings such as Unlimited Cloud Storage for Businesses and Backup Solutions for Microsoft 365, the introduction of HI GIO Kubernetes demonstrates the commitment of IIJ GS VN and FPT Telecom to enhance the HI GIO Cloud ecosystem. This initiative aims to support Vietnamese businesses in their digital transformation journey and provide customers with exceptional service experiences that meet Japanese quality standards.
